Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician in California to perform routine, preventative maintenance across our resort properties. Responsibilities include minor repairs, irrigation and landscape maintenance, and upkeep of pools and common areas.

You will work on-site with flexible hours based on guest occupancy and seasonality, and you may supervise contractors while reporting issues to the Resort Manager.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet usage.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Proficient with various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• General knowledge of janitorial, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.
• Experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work.
• On-call ability for resort needs outside business hours.
• 6 months maintenance experience in campground or RV resort preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure physical integrity of resort facilities.
• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Inspect irrigation systems, playgrounds, pool/spa areas, and other amenities for proper operation.
• Maintain resort cleanliness and curb appeal; remove debris daily.
• Conduct lawn care, weed control, and landscape maintenance.
• Maintain resort pools, test and adjust chemical levels.
• Maintain resort vehicles and equipment.
• Assist Resort Manager with supervising contractors and reporting issues.
