Job summary

IHM Outdoors in California is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our resorts, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

You will inspect facilities, complete repairs, operate maintenance equipment, and collaborate with the Resort Manager to keep every area inviting for guests. This role may require flexible scheduling, on-call evenings or weekends, and a commitment to high standards of curb appeal and safety.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency including email and internet
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to provide legible written reports
• Proficient in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
• General knowledge of janitorial, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance
• Broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
• Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call
• 6 months maintenance experience in campground or RV resort preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed
• Complete routine maintenance and minor emergency electrical repairs, plumbing, sewage, construction, and street repair
• Inspect the irrigation system regularly and repair as necessary
• Inspect playground, pool/spa, and recreational amenities and perform minor repairs
• Ensure resort presents a welcoming curb appeal and adheres to standards
• Perform lawn care tasks including weed control, trimming, and mulching
• Ensure trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets
• Empty common area trash containers as needed
• Clean resort amenities such as clubhouses and restrooms
• Maintain vacant sites and remove trash and debris
• Remove snow from streets and lots where applicable
• Complete site condition checklists before/after guest occupancy
• Assist Resort Manager with supervising service contractors
• Report maintenance issues to the manager
• Ensure resort streets and access routes are hazard-free
• Maintain resort pools and test chemical levels
• Maintain resort vehicles and equipment
• Follow safety procedures while moving between sites
