Mission Resort + Club is seeking a Cook I to join our team in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. This role supports our award-winning resort dining experience, preparing and presenting dishes to meet high standards.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, complete opening/closing duties, and collaborate closely with the culinary team while maintaining food safety and quality. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or line cook experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
• Complete opening and closing duties, including station setup and breakdown
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to support smooth and timely service
• Assist with food preparation, inventory rotation, and proper storage procedures
