Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a bartender for Seven Summits Lodge in Bonney Lake, WA. This part-time role involves serving beverages and food to guests at the bar, restaurant, or patio, and reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager.

The position requires prior bartending experience, a valid TIPS certification, a Food Handlers Card, and the ability to handle cash and customer requests in a fast-paced resort environment. Evening and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• One year experience bartending, in a resort facility preferred.
• Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; must be able to calculate discounts, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent hospitality by knowing the resort facility and dining area; respond to guest questions with enthusiasm.
• Greet and serve guests in an energetic, friendly manner and make drink recommendations.
• Mix drinks and serve wine and beer; take food and beverage orders; prepare to-go orders; replenish bar snacks.
• Check identifications to ensure legal drinking age; balance cash register and handle transactions.
• Take inventory and order liquors and supplies while maintaining budget.
• Maintain a clean work area and oversee events and banquets as needed.
