Job summary

BLUESTAR RESORT & GOLF is seeking a Cook 2 for its high-volume kitchen at Seven Summits Lodge in Bonney Lake, WA. You will prepare, cook, and serve a variety of dishes, report to Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef, and maintain food quality and safety in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires at least two years of commercial kitchen experience, a current Food Handlers card, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years cooking in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Ability to think and decide independently with sound judgment.
• Must be self-motivated and a team player.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Master one kitchen station and take responsibility for actions.
• Ensure high standards of service for guests and employees.
• Respond promptly to guest or employee concerns and resolve issues.
• Follow daily cleaning schedule to maintain sanitary kitchen.
• Read and follow cooking instructions; prepare and serve soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, casseroles.
• Cook and prepare meats, fish, vegetables; adjust oven and stove temperatures as needed.
• Carve meats, portion plates, garnish servings, and complete orders.
• Other duties may be assigned.
