Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Residential Route Supervisor to oversee daily service delivery for residential, roll-off and commercial routes. You will supervise drivers, enforce safety standards and ensure on-time, cost-effective service aligned with Waste Pro's core values.

You will manage route starts, monitor performance metrics, address customer inquiries, and coordinate with city and state agencies as needed. CDL is required, with duties extending to weekend coverage and 24/7 responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years in transportation, management, logistics or waste.
• Associate's Degree or 2+ years in related fields with coaching/supervision duties is welcome.
• Knowledge of Smith System and/or Decision Driving methods is preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and MS Office applications.
• Valid class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise drivers and daily operations, including pre/post trip checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure policy compliance.
• Lead safety briefings and weekly safety meetings.
• Route planning for new starts; optimize routes to minimize labor costs.
• Address customer issues, dispatch communications, and service requirements.
• Perform route observations and ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor DOT hours and dispatcher compliance; address repairs with shop.
• Oversee attendance, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist on routes to cover shortages and support drivers as needed.
• Attend mandated training and participate in corporate programs.
• Maintain positive attitude toward staff and customers; be reachable by phone.
• Ensure cans and equipment are properly labeled and maintained.
