Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division is seeking a Driver - Residential to operate waste collection trucks on assigned routes across residential areas. You will load waste, compact trash, and ensure safety protocols are followed to maintain service quality.

The role requires a Commercial Driver's License, at least one year of driving experience, and ability to work with a team to optimize routing while adhering to safety regulations. Overtime may be required depending on demand.

Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License required.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck on assigned routes.
• Load solid waste, yard waste and recyclables into the vehicle.
• Compact trash using truck equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete required reports.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Identify prohibited waste items and tag/remove them.
• Work with assigned helpers and supervisors to ensure routing efficiency.
