Job summary

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) in Southeastern Connecticut is seeking a Service Coordinator II to oversee a residential program, supervising staff and ensuring high-quality, recovery‑oriented client care while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate across departments, implement staffing plans, and support leadership to sustain strong team culture and effective service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least two years of leadership experience in a recovery or residential setting.
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supervising and developing staff including recovery technicians and coaches.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, recovery‑oriented practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support program staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching and development.
• Orient and train new staff on residence systems, documentation and client support.
• Create schedules ensuring coverage and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee medication self-administration and ensure proper protocols are followed.
• Ensure medications are available and disposed of properly at discharge where applicable.
• Manage emergencies and incidents promptly, maintaining safety and reporting as required.
• Ensure adherence to safety, licensing and regulatory standards in the residence.
• Provide direct care as needed to meet contractual and licensing requirements.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and staff training; participate in meetings and onboarding.
