Job summary

The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) seeks a Service Coordinator II to oversee a residential program in New London, CT. You will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain a safe, recovery‑oriented environment for clients and team members.

Responsibilities include staff hiring and training, scheduling, medication administration oversight where applicable, and collaboration with leadership to ensure high standards of care and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with at least two years of leadership experience.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • CPR certification within 6 months.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise and develop staff.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practice.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support program staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching.
  • Orient and train new staff on residence technology, documentation, and client support.
  • Create schedules ensuring appropriate coverage and staffing levels for each shift in alignment with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Facilitate and oversee the medication self-administration process and ensure compliance with protocols.
  • Ensure client medications are available and properly disposed of at discharge; ensure staff are trained.
  • Manage medical, behavioral, emergency, or outside problems quickly and efficiently; notify management as needed.
  • Identify and report incidents and potential risk situations with proper documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, licensing, and regulatory standards in the residence.
  • Provide direct care as needed to meet contractual and licensing regulatory requirements.
  • Orient clients to the residence and review program rules and regulations.
  • Provide on-call support and respond to crises after hours.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop census forecasts and staffing patterns.
  • Attend on-site and off-site meetings and training as required.
  • Participate in orientation of new employees and transfer of knowledge.
