Job summary

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) in New London, CT is seeking a Service Coordinator II to oversee daily operations of an assigned residence, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality, recovery-oriented care.

This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, collaboration with leadership, staff development, scheduling, and on-call support to address crises as they arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least two years of leadership experience, ideally in a recovery or related residential program
• Valid Driver's License with the ability to drive an agency vehicle
• CPR Certification required within 6 months
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop staff, including recovery technicians, case managers, and recovery coaches
• Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to respond effectively to changing priorities and after-hours situations

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support program staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development
• Orient and train new staff on residence-specific technology, systems, required documentation, and client support
• Create schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and staffing levels for each shift in alignment with applicable regulations and policies
• Facilitate and oversee the medication self-administration process and ensure compliance with protocols
• Ensure client medications are available and properly disposed of at discharge
• Manage medical, behavioral, emergency, or outside problems and notify management as needed
• Identify and report incidents and potential risk promptly with proper documentation
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, licensing, and regulatory standards
• Provide direct care as needed to meet contractual and licensing requirements
• Orient clients to residence and review program rules
• Provide on-call support and respond to crises after hours
• Collaborate with leadership to develop census forecasts and staffing patterns
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize services
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and training for staff
• Attend on-site and off-site meetings and training
• Assist in new employee orientation and knowledge transfer
