Full Time Management New London, CT, US

Salary Range: $57,500.00 To $60,000.00 Annually

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD)

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) is an award-winning, nationally and locally recognized leader in substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment in Southeastern Connecticut. We are proud recipients of the Top Workplace award, 2023 Non-Profit of the Year and 2023 Executive Director of the Year honors from the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce, and recognition as a Top Tier organization and a Recovery Friendly Workplace.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Coordinator II to oversee the daily operations and service delivery of an assigned residential program — supervising a team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe, recovery-oriented environment for clients and staff alike.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits
  • Multiple Medical Plans to fit your needs and budget
  • 403(b) Retirement Plan with 10% employer match at 1 year
  • Vacation and Sick accruals
  • 11 paid Holidays
  • 40 hours of paid Education/Training annually
  • Paid Licensure Reimbursement
  • Meaningful leadership work making a lasting difference in the lives of individuals in recovery
What You'll Do:

As Service Coordinator II, you will serve as an operational leader for your assigned residence — balancing direct staff supervision with hands‑on support to ensure that clients receive high‑quality, consistent care every day. You will collaborate closely with leadership and across departments to maintain safety, compliance, and a strong team culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and support program staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development
  • Orient and train new staff on residence‑specific technology, systems, required documentation, and client support
  • Create schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and staffing levels for each shift in alignment with applicable regulations and policies
  • Facilitate and oversee the medication self‑administration process and ensure compliance with protocols required by the assigned residence, as applicable
  • Ensure that client medications are available and properly disposed of at the time of discharge in accordance with assigned residence protocols; ensure staff are well trained in this process, for programs without required nursing oversight
  • Manage medical, behavioral, emergency, or outside problems quickly and efficiently, maintaining a safe environment and notifying the appropriate authority or management staff as needed
  • Identify and report incidents and potential risk situations promptly, ensuring timely and accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, licensing, and regulatory standards in the residence
  • Ensure required documentation, policies, and standards of work are followed within the scope of organizational protocols
  • Provide direct care as needed to meet contractual and licensing regulatory requirements
  • Orient clients to the residence and review program rules and regulations
  • Provide on‑call support and respond to crises to ensure continuity and quality of services; may be required to address urgent issues after hours
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and monitor census forecasts, staffing patterns, and general program concerns
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to coordinate services and resources
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development for staff
  • Attend on‑site and off‑site meetings and training as required
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge essential to the performance of duties
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with at least two years of leadership experience, ideally in a recovery or related residential program; an equivalent combination and experience may be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to drive an agency vehicle
  • CPR Certification required within 6 months of employment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop staff, including recovery technicians, case managers, and recovery coaches
  • Commitment to trauma‑informed care, recovery‑oriented practice, and SCADD's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to respond effectively to changing priorities and after‑hours situations
