Description

Our Property Management Company is looking for a Residential Service Technician for our property located in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood. The Residential Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and grounds with attention to cleanliness, efficiency, safety, and asset protection. Janitorial duties are also required. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, be a team player, and be able to prioritize and complete work professionally and promptly.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is commensurate with experience: $25/hr

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community
  • Ability to perform repairs related to preventative maintenance, painting, plastering, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
  • Provide exemplary customer care to residents
  • Maintain cleanliness of grounds, lobbies, hallways, floors, carpets, restrooms, elevators, stairways, windows, and other common areas through daily cleaning and trash removal
  • Communicate regularly with the Property Manager regarding resident concerns and maintenance issues
  • Complete work orders and unit turns on schedule professionally
  • Walk building and grounds daily for cleanliness, perform preventative maintenance, and fix hazardous conditions
  • Be a team player and assist other team members as needed
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays
  • Have own general tools
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Perform any other tasks as directed by the Property Manager, Director of Maintenance, and VPO
