Qualifications

This position has a grade of 15 and reports to the Service Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions, ABB quality, and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service, planning and executing service work as per customer orders and expectations. You will also ensure customer retention by effectively communicating service timelines and expectations. This role is primarily remote and contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in Chicago, IL. You will mainly be responsible for:

• Working with customers on-site to identify opportunities for operational improvements and pain point elimination.
• Performing field service tasks, diagnosing technical issues, and conducting analysis remotely or on-site within your certified service categories and products.
• Preparing material lists needed for service activities and ensuring availability and quality of all materials, parts, and equipment.
• Acting as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.

Qualifications for the role

• High School Diploma with 5 years of professional experience, or a Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree with relevant experience in servicing critical power equipment (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and moderate project management skills using MS Project or Excel.
• Ability to write detailed test plans and reports.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including nights and weekends.
• Legal work authorization for employment in the US.
