Job summary

Community Solutions is hiring a Full-time 1st Shift Residential Re-Entry Specialist at Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT. The role supports individuals re-entering the community, including supervision and monitoring within a secure facility.

Responsibilities include oversight of client movements, urinalysis, incident reporting, and coordination with staff. Requires a High School Diploma and FBOP clearance, plus a valid driver's license and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in social service or criminal justice (education may be substituted with relevant experience).
• Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs FBOP required training prior to working FBOP clients.
• Strong attention to details.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before shift.
• Conduct urinalysis.
• Provide update on client issues and incidents.
• Verify items passed between shifts.
• Ensure security of facility keys.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks.
• Search common areas, rooms and perimeter; document results.
• Pat/pocket searches for clients entering facility; document results.
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident report.
• Complete hourly/bi-hourly counts and document results.
• Transport clients as needed in Company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same sex clients and complete paperwork.
• Supervise all client visitations and sign-in/out visitors.
• Complete intake on new arrivals; facilitate client orientation.
• Facilitate client movement in/out of facility.
• Monitor self-administration of medication.
