Job summary

UDR is seeking a Service Manager for our Boston community at 345 Harrison. You will oversee building maintenance, schedule resident service requests, manage a small service team, and ensure safety and quality while meeting budget goals.

You’ll lead with strong communication, supervise staff, coordinate with vendors, and drive efficient operations to maintain high standards for a 583-home community in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years’ experience in building and mechanical maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool maintenance.
• EPA Type II certification required; Type III or Universal may be required at some locations.
• Experience supervising associates preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete resident service and maintenance requests and work orders.
• Meet the service budget and manage resources within approved budgets.
• Lead, train, and evaluate service staff; provide feedback to management.
• Schedule and supervise vendor turns and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure safety, OSHA compliance, and quality standards across the community.
• Inspect property conditions and manage clean and market-ready spaces.
