Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled Service Technician to maintain and repair the physical aspects of our properties. This role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and overall functionality across units and common areas.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and coordinating make-ready tasks for vacant apartments. You will also support inventory control, documentation, and on-site repairs while working in a dynamic, guest-focused environment at Greystar.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required for all Service Technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the “make-ready” process for vacant apartment homes, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination, supplies, and inspections of completed work.
• Manages materials and tools from the property’s maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies management for reordering.
• Documents and paperwork to track service requests accurately.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and basic upkeep as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
