Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support make-ready tasks for vacant units. You will handle work orders, safety inspections, and documentation while contributing to curb appeal and overall property functionality.

You will also assist in groundskeeping, inventory control, and vendor coordination as part of a collaborative property team in a dynamic rental housing environment.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to meet safety and code requirements.
• Executes the make-ready process for vacant units and prepares them for leasing.
• Tracks inventory and uses materials efficiently; notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes timely documentation to document service requests and progress.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assists in cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
