Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of work experience
• DLGF Level II Assessor/Appraiser Certification or willingness to earn within 12 months
• Strong project management, computer, math, geometry, and communication skills
• Ability to assist customers professionally in person, by email, or by phone
• Proficiency with imaging systems and other software; attention to detail
• Bilingual abilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform residential field inspections and data collection for Marion County
• Input measured data into the property tax database in a timely manner
• Review plans and blueprints to support parcel valuation
• Coordinate with taxpayers or designees to gain property access
• Collaborate with GIS, permit and zoning departments as required
• Prioritize routing and workloads of assigned parcels
• Provide courteous service to visitors and callers; maintain confidentiality
• Adhere to Indiana law, DLGF rules, and IAAO standards
• Support supervisor and promote policy-compliant processes
