Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; degree may be substituted.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interpret state and federal regulations.
• Knowledge of accounting, business management, and economics.
• Proficiency with computers, data entry, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Indiana, sometimes overnight.

Responsibilities

• Audit to ensure compliance with state law.
• Review records related to assigned functions.
• Prepare ratio and balance sheet reports for licensed firms.
• Submit reports of audit findings.
• Assist and service entities in license applications.
• Provide recommendations on business status and solvency.
• Compile information for potential criminal prosecutions.
• Testify at legal proceedings as needed.
• Represent the agency in state business relations.
