You will support daily upkeep of buildings and common areas, respond professionally to resident needs, and help ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The role requires physical work and teamwork, with opportunities to develop basic maintenance skills and contribute to a well-maintained living environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in porter, janitorial, custodial, maintenance, or related work preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, tools and maintenance practices.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators and exterior grounds.
• Perform routine porter duties such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping and surface cleaning.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, unclogging drains and minor repairs.
• Inspect areas regularly and report hazards or repair needs.
• Support apartment turnovers with cleaning and preparation for new residents.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Move materials and supplies as needed and monitor stock levels.
• Coordinate with property management to meet building standards and safety procedures.
