Job summary

Allbritten Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electrical is seeking a Plumbing Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential plumbing systems. You will interpret blueprints, explain options to customers, and perform high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and Cal/OSHA rules.

This hourly, non-exempt role requires strong problem-solving, good communication, and the ability to work independently at customers' homes.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, building plans, specs.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication.
• Independent worker who completes tasks accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems, including water, gas, sanitary, and storm systems.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, fixtures, and appliances including water heaters and dishwashers.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand tools and power equipment.
• Prepare written job estimates and explain repair or replacement options to customers.
• Complete service documentation, work orders, reports, and time records using company systems.
