Job summary

Willard East Heating and Cooling is seeking a Plumbing Technician responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of residential plumbing systems including sinks, water heaters, toilets, and fixtures. You will diagnose issues, discuss options with customers, and perform precise repairs while maintaining records and staying compliant with codes.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of experience, a Journeyman license, strong customer service, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing, water heaters, tankless, and filtration.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Journeyman license (required).
Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers.
Knowledge of drain machines, camera, and locator equipment.
Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools.

Responsibilities

Execute effective troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes of plumbing issues.
Perform timely and accurate repairs to resolve plumbing and drain issues.
Explain to the customer what service you are performing and give prices & gain approval before doing the work.
Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services for the customer’s needs and wants.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
Show professionalism to win referrals and repeat business.
Maintain your truck neat and clean inside and outside.
Work with Customer Service and Dispatch to ensure success.
Maintain detailed records of services with before/after pictures.
Be safety conscious on the job and while driving.
Participate in trainings, morning meetings and retreats.
Train and mentor apprentices for quick, accurate repairs and installations.
