Job summary
Rockland Trust is seeking a Residential Underwriting Manager to lead our underwriting team and ensure loans are underwritten to investor and agency guidelines across RTC portfolio, secondary market, and government programs.
You will partner with senior leadership to drive growth, improve portfolio quality, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes while managing productivity, quality and turnaround times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong track record in underwriting Conventional Mortgages and FHA; VA/USDA a plus.
- Knowledge of Mortgage Insurance guidelines and investor standards.
- Experience leading underwriting teams and driving performance.
Responsibilities
- Shape underwriting strategy across Mortgage and Home Equity.
- Partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives.
- Lead a function impacting portfolio quality and customer outcomes.
- Set expectations for productivity, quality, and turnaround times; manage performance.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and leadership development.
- Drive standardization and best practices across underwriting workflows.
