Job summary

Citi Bank Retail Mortgage in Santa Clara, California, seeks a Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high-quality residential real estate loans. You will engage with clients, real estate agents, and referral partners to grow mortgage business and deliver excellent service.

The role requires strong sales ability, a registered MLO with NMLS, and knowledge of mortgage products and regulations. Primary location is Santa Clara, CA, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years relevant experience in lending or similar.
• Proven mortgage sales capability and established client base.
• Knowledge of RESPA, privacy and other consumer lending regulations.
• Ability to explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze customer financial information, goals, and credit history.
• Assess loan eligibility and select appropriate lending solutions.
• Advise customers on risks, benefits, and alternatives of loans.
• Promote Citi's mortgage services to clients and referral sources.
• Coordinate with Operations, Processors, and Underwriters to close loans.
