Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-5 years relevant experience.
• 3+ years previous mortgage sales experience required.
• Residential Mortgage experience required.
• Established book of business.
• Proven product sales capability is required.
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred.
• The ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives.
• The knowledge of consumer lending laws including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong relationship development and management skills.
• Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry.
• This position requires registering as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and obtaining a unique identifier.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation, objectives and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze information about the customer's finances, goals, risk tolerance, and credit history.
• Analyze financial information to assess qualification for lending solutions.
• Make recommendations about lending solutions meeting customers' objectives.
• Advise customers on risks and benefits of loan options.
• Promote Citi's brand and lending services to real estate agents and referral sources.
• Visit customers outside Citi's offices as needed.
• Work with internal partners to support and grow customers.
• Refer customers to appropriate Citi professionals.
• Partner with Operations to ensure seamless transfer of loan applications.
• Work with Processors/Closers to ensure timely closings.
• Develop referral relationships with Realtors, CPAs, builders, etc.
• Keep abreast of local market trends and regulatory changes.
