Mechanics Bank is seeking a Sr. Lending Advisor to originate residential mortgage loans on-site in Walnut Creek, CA. You will develop relationships with realtors and referral partners, gather documentation, and coordinate with processing to ensure timely approvals and closings while upholding banking regulations.

This role emphasizes in-person service, accurate loan packaging, and strong communication. Candidates should have a high school diploma, several years in lending, proficiency with LOS

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 3 years minimum of related experience in lending and banking preferred.
• Proficient with: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Encompass Loan Originating System (LOS).
• Possess excellent human relations, communications and business writing skills.
• Ability to travel throughout bank’s footprint to perform required duties (less than 25%).

Responsabilités

• Develops and maintains relationships with referral sources such as realtors, builders, and other referral partners to increase mortgage-lending activities.
• Calls on prospective customers and explains loan products and services.
• Prepares required pipeline reports for department administrative purposes.
• Submits loan package to processing for underwriting and coordinates necessary activities and gathering of supporting documents for obtaining approval.
• Analyzes applicant financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan and coordinates with underwriting.
• Interviews applicant and requests specific information and/or documentation for mortgage loan application.
• Coordinates activities with loan processor and borrower(s) to ensure proper documentation and verification.
• Works with the closing department to ensure the loan is successfully closed.
