Job summary

Citi Bank Retail Mortgage in Citrus Heights, CA seeks a Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high-quality residential loans and deliver exceptional client service. You will collaborate with real estate professionals and Citi partners to assess borrower needs, explain options, and guide transactions from application to closing while ensuring compliance with lending laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years relevant mortgage experience.
• 3+ years mortgage sales experience required.
• Residential mortgage experience required.
• Established book of business.
• Proven product sales capability is required.
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience preferred.
• Ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations.
• Knowledge of lending laws including RESPA.
• Strong relationship development and customer service skills.
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situations and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze customers' financial information and goals.
• Assess eligibility for lending solutions.
• Make recommendations on lending options.
• Advise on risks and benefits of loan choices.
• Promote Citi's lending capabilities to partners and clients.
• Visit customers outside Citi's offices as needed.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support customers.
• Refer customers to appropriate Citi professionals when needed.
• Coordinate with Operations to gather required documents.
