Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Lending Advisor Associate in Irvine, CA to support Sr. Lending Advisors, manage loan pipelines, collect documents, and help drive timely closings. The role focuses on client contact, knowledge of lending products, and cross-sell opportunities to deepen relationships.

You will work with processing, underwriting, and closing teams, while maintaining exceptional customer service and accurate documentation. Travel 0–10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 3 years minimum Mortgage Lending, Banking experience required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and Encompass (LOS) systems.
• Excellent human relations, communications and business writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates teamwork and responsiveness to bank needs.
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Ability to travel between bank and customer locations for training.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Sr. Lending Advisor team, assisting with complex transactions and inquiries.
• Monitor and manage loan pipeline, track progress and ensure milestones/contingencies are met.
• Assist with workflow uncertainties and facilitate communication between sales and operations.
• Support sales team with client follow-ups on conditions, milestones and closings.
• Coordinate processes for other lending products and special projects as directed.
