Mechanics Bank in California seeks a Sr. Lending Advisor to originate residential mortgage loans and build relationships with realtors, builders and referral partners. You will manage loan applications, coordinate with processing and underwriting, and ensure timely closings.

Offices include Bakersfield, Fresno, Napa, Sacramento or San Luis Obispo; travel up to 20% is expected. Strong communication and proficiency with Encompass and MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; 3 years lending or banking experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and Encompass LOS.
• Strong communication and business writing skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources to increase mortgage lending.
• Calls on prospective customers and explains loan products and services.
• Prepares pipeline reports for department administration.
• Coordinates loan processing and underwriting; collects supporting documents.
• Ensures timely processing and closing of loans in coordination with closing department.
• Travel 10–20%.
