Job summary

Machias Savings Bank is seeking a Residential Banking Officer to join the Lending Team in the Central Market. You will originate mortgage and home equity loans, guide customers through the lending journey, and build strong relationships with customers and community partners to grow our lending business.

You will identify financial solutions, provide personalized service from application to closing, and ensure compliance with lending regulations while delivering an exceptional customer

Qualifications

• Relationship-building and customer service skills to develop trust with customers and community partners.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage and consumer lending, including origination, documentation, qualification, collateral analysis and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, business development and attention-to-detail skills to manage multiple priorities and follow through with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage and home equity loans and provide responsive, personalized service from application through closing.
• Build meaningful relationships with customers, realtors, developers, attorneys, accountants and community partners to develop referrals.
• Identify financial needs and recommend appropriate lending, deposit and other Bank products and services.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience while maintaining accurate documentation and following lending regulations and Bank policies.
