Job summary

WSECU is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer - Internal to join our Residential Lending team. You’ll partner with branch staff to guide members through home financing, manage an inbound pipeline, and deliver compliant loan solutions. This role emphasizes timely closings and a member-first approach.

You bring at least 3 years of origination experience, familiarity with FHA/VA, and a business-related degree preferred. Competitive hourly pay with commission and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mortgage loan origination experience, including FHA/VA familiarity.
• College degree in business or closely related field preferred; related experience may substitute for academic achievement.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans by promoting and delivering WSECU’s mortgage and home equity products to members and prospective members within assigned branches.
• Build strong relationships with branch staff and partners to support member needs and drive internal referrals.
• Price, structure, and disclose loans accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Meet or exceed individual production and service goals.
• Deliver an exceptional member experience by communicating proactively and ensuring timely, high-quality loan closings.
• Manage a pipeline of loans, submitting complete and accurate loan packages with follow-through.
• Maintain NMLS licensing and stay current on products, systems, and mortgage industry trends and competition.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and Community Homeownership initiatives.
• Support branch and team operations by participating in huddles and maintaining regular branch presence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and member experience.
