Job summary

Freedom Village Holland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair residential apartments, healthcare buildings, and campus public areas. This on-site role involves routine and emergency maintenance, basic HVAC work, and on-call support to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in residential maintenance, with strong communication and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of maintenance experience in a residential setting preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, plumbing fixtures, pipes, fittings, doors, locks, lighting, and other building components.
• Respond to emergency calls involving system or equipment failures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs of residential HVAC equipment.
• Perform equipment resets and simple HVAC repairs when appropriate.
