Job summary

Independence Village Grand Blanc is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties on apartment properties. This full-time role requires working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, outdoors in different weather, and collaborating with multiple departments to deliver excellent service.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or some college credits) or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in maintenance of apartments including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural and appliance repair; drywall and painting experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Operates tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains effective team relationships.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and equipment per safety regulations.
