Job summary

The RMR Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to help maintain the community grounds and perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in groundskeeping, preventative maintenance, and routine property repairs while delivering excellent resident service.

Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, light maintenance, and assisting with make-ready activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred but not required.
• Ability and willingness to learn basic residential maintenance skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community grounds; report unsafe conditions to management.
• Water lawns and landscaped areas; assist with irrigation and drainage maintenance.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs (bulbs, filters, painting, carpentry, plumbing).
• Assist with apartment make-ready tasks, heavy appliance transfers, and moving items.
• Support maintenance staff with inspections and larger projects; follow safety policies.
