Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical standards of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas. You will diagnose and repair issues, perform make-readies for vacant units, manage inventory, and document work orders to support efficient property operations.

The role requires training in safety standards, EPA credentials may apply, and the position offers on-site responsibilities with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance on the property per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant units including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are finished.
• Manages materials and inventory with proper tracking and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests accurately to support tracking and reporting.
• Assists in grounds, common areas, and amenities upkeep, including cleaning and basic painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing when feasible and using tools properly.
• Follows safety policies, attends trainings, and complies with OSHA and related requirements.
• Occasionally inspects contractor work to verify quality and scope compliance.
• Participates in periodic property inspections and communicates physical needs to management.
