Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of our properties, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to meet our safety and quality standards.

The role performs technical and mechanical work, completes work orders from resident requests, conducts preventive maintenance, and supports make-ready processes for vacant units, with flexibility for after-hours and weekend call duties.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (Applies to Certified Service Technicians).
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Follows procedures for accessing materials and equipment from maintenance department; tracks inventory and reordering needs.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities (cleaning, painting curbs, etc.).
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools efficiently.
