Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings and grounds meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, manage make-ready tasks for vacant units, and support onsite operations with documentation and safety compliance.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a rotating on-call schedule, with opportunities for bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 & II or Universal) are required.
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required for all Service Technicians.
• A valid driver’s license is required to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins; inspect and create punch lists.
• Track inventory and return unused items; notify supervisor about re-order needs.
• Document service requests promptly for accurate recordkeeping.
• Support grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Fix rather than replace when possible to control costs.
