Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician maintains the physical condition of the community and provides excellent service to residents. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, making repairs, and completing service requests promptly. You may be eligible for a $500 net sign-on bonus.

Maintenance Technician Job Family

This role is part of our Maintenance Technician Job Family, which includes levels from Trainee to Level III, with structured growth and training plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff and oversee property maintenance, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems.
• Ensure safety and environmental policies are followed.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through professional interactions.
• Work on a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 coverage.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 7 years of maintenance experience or 4 years with EPA 608 Universal certification
• Designations or certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance Repair, or Carpentry preferred
• Strong customer service skills and ability to diagnose and repair issues
• Ability to train less experienced technicians
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

Regular use of hands, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, interacting with residents and staff.
