Job summary

Birge & Held is hiring a Service Technician I to support daily maintenance at a multifamily community in Denver, CO. You will help ensure resident satisfaction, property functionality, and compliance with company standards while reporting to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include inspecting units, performing basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs, completing work orders promptly, coordinating with the operations team, and assisting with on-site grounds and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Formal technical training and/or equivalent job experience in heating and air conditioning, preferred.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling, preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
• HVAC certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect buildings and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Complete work orders within 48 hours; ensure timely unit turnovers (5 working days).
• Provide daily progress updates to operations team.
• Maintain grounds and support seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
