Job summary

Premier Property Management is seeking a diligent and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Westland, MI. The role focuses on routine maintenance, timely response to requests, and preventive care to ensure safe and well-maintained residential properties.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of maintenance experience and strong skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and drywall.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair and drywall.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and repairs on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, heat pump, and appliances.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property management staff.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and longevity of property systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
• Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Collaborate with property management to address maintenance issues and uphold property standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Snow removal in winter months.
• Follow all safety protocols.
