Job summary

Superior Property Management in Saint Joseph, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service our residential properties in Southwest Michigan. You will perform routine maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry tasks and work closely with property teams to address tenant requests.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, relevant maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and the ability to use maintenance software for work orders and time tracking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within the real estate or property management industry.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with or the willingness to learn to use a software app for time/project tracking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and repairs to residential and commercial properties.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants, owners or property managers, diagnosing issues and executing repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, supplies and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or large-scale maintenance projects.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
