Job summary

BHOM Student Living seeks a Maintenance Technician to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure units meet company standards. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance repairs, with a focus on timely, professional service to tenants.

Internally known as Service Technician, you will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, manage work orders, assist with vendor coordination, and contribute to safe, clean properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college hours preferred.
• 1 year electrical, painting, drywall and plumbing experience.
• Must be available for night/weekend call duty.
• EPA Type I & II, HVAC, and pool certifications may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests as directed by supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.
• Ensure timely and quality completion of work orders.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and maintain safety.
• Coordinate scheduling with vendors and contractors; obtain bids.
• Submit invoices and manage maintenance supplies within budget.
