Job summary

Home Encounter HECM, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, respond to resident requests, and oversee vendors. Based in Florida, the position involves on-site duties, on-call rotations, and maintaining safety and record-keeping for maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and appliances.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and resolve concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and aesthetic of common areas and facilities.
• Coordinate and oversee vendors and contractors for repairs and projects.
• Keep maintenance logs, work orders, and inspections up to date.
• Follow safety standards and building code regulations; participate in on-call rotations.
• Assist in keeping the maintenance shop organized and stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
