Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Los Angeles area. The role performs essential building, grounds, and common area upkeep to meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and the make-ready process for new moves. Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of maintenance experience and EPA refrigerant certifications.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience is preferred.
• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and perform preventative maintenance per policy and safety codes.
• Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units, including inspections and punch lists.
• Access and stock materials from the maintenance department and notify when re-orders are needed.
• Document work orders accurately to enable tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and amenities, assist with cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Help control costs by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
