Job summary

Encore HCS is seeking a Maintenance Tech to uphold the physical condition of residential apartments and campus areas. You will perform routine and emergency repairs, respond to HVAC issues, and complete work orders with detailed information.

The role requires 1–2 years of maintenance experience, strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general upkeep, and the ability to work with residents and staff. This on-site position may include on-call overtime and requires dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building, or maintenance.
• Must possess working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances; HVAC knowledge is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff; work under general supervision and be flexible and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas, including electrical, plumbing, doors and fixtures.
• Assist in initial response for HVAC malfunctions and perform simple repairs.
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failures.
• Complete work orders with detailed information on tasks performed and equipment used.
• Assist other maintenance personnel on projects and campus snow removal as needed.
• Maintain proper levels of materials and supplies to ensure timely task completion.
• Work scheduled and on-call overtime as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Supervisor and Director of General Services.
