Job summary

Encore at Wilmington is seeking a Maintenance Tech responsible for upkeep of residential apartments and public areas across campus. You will perform repairs, respond to malfunctions, and assist with preventive maintenance to ensure safe, comfortable living environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance. A High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years in a similar setting are preferred. On-call overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Must have knowledge of HVAC.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Must function under general supervision and be dependable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency repairs in apartments and public areas including electrical, plumbing, doors and fixtures.
• Assists in initial response for HVAC malfunctions and basic repairs.
• Responds to emergency calls for system or equipment failures.
• Completes work orders with detailed task and equipment information.
• Assists other maintenance personnel on campus projects and snow removal.
• Maintains proper levels of materials and supplies for timely task completion.
• May work on-call overtime as necessary.
• Fulfills duties requested by Supervisor and Director of General Services to ensure efficient operation.
