Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the overall physical condition of our community and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure resident requests are completed promptly.

The role requires 1-3 years of maintenance experience, basic troubleshooting, and a valid driver’s license. On-call rotation and safety compliance are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge in electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Ability to perform repairs within company standards and time limits.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Certifications such as EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing or electrical obtained within 9 months.
• Training courses completed within one year of hire/promotion date.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for general maintenance and orderliness of property including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems.
• Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions.
• Working a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
