Job summary

Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and maintain community buildings, grounds, and amenities. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage the make-ready process for new move-ins.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and cost-conscious maintenance practices, with opportunities to support budgeting and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to apply logic to identify and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; represent management.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; PM system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills to handle financial and administrative documents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs per policies and codes.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant homes and coordinate vendors.
• Set cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, and interiors.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance; develop corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools; manage supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventive maintenance procedures as per policy.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing when feasible.
