Job summary

Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage routine and preventive maintenance across community buildings and grounds in a fast-paced residential setting. You will diagnose defects, repair systems, and oversee the make-ready process for new move-ins, ensuring safety and Greystar quality standards.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, EPA HVAC certification if needed, and strong customer-service skills to interact with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related training.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.
• Ability to diagnose problems and apply logical thinking.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient reading, writing, and basic IT use for records.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification if working on HVAC systems.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf carts on property.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete resident work orders and perform repairs.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate vendors.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and interiors.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors for quality.
• Maintain inventory and assist budget planning.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance per policy.
• Support cost-saving initiatives by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous resident service and address complaints promptly.
