Job summary

Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee routine and preventative maintenance across the community, diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and functional building systems in line with Greystar standards.

You will handle work orders, manage the make-ready process for vacant units, coordinate vendors, maintain tools and inventory, and support budgeting and cost-control initiatives while delivering responsive, resident-focused service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in property maintenance or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of hand tools, safety standards, and codes.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with basic math for administrative & financial documents.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and diagnose defects.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units and prepare units for leasing.
• Set cleanliness/appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with Community Manager on supplies and budget.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance tasks as documented.
